Dr Abdus Salam’s sculpture show cased at IAEA Austria

A sculpture of Dr Adus Salam, Pakistani physicist is supposed to be show cased at the headquarters of International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in Vienna.

This sculpture of Dr Abdus Salam will be placed along with the sculptures of several other notable figures. Most of these figures are scientist and have made a prominent advancement in the field of nuclear science and technology.

Dr Abdus Salam is the first Pakistani Nobel laureate. The foreign officer released statement “Dr Salam’s efforts in making the world aware of the benefits of using nuclear knowledge for peace, health and prosperity have been recognized on numerous occasions. He was also the founder of the International Center for Theoretical Physics (ICTP) in Trieste, Italy.”

The first Pakistani Nobel Prize holder passed away in UK on November 21, 1996.
