Political Slogans banned during Independence Cup 2017
Independence Cup is going to take place between Pakistan and World XI. Independence Cup is three day cricket series, starting from September 13 at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. During the series, spectators are banned from chanting political slogans.
The code of conduct guidelines issued, stating that fans are banned to use any of misbehaving language, political dialogues, and slogans. It is also revealed that the one who will violate the code of conduct, strict legal action will be taken against him.
Reports revealed that during match a magistrate will be deployed at every enclosure of stadium to make sure that people follow code of conduct. Magistrates will have the authority to take legal action against the one who will violate the code of conduct.
Additionally, spectators are prohibited from taking any eatables i.e. food, and bottles inside the stadium. Moreover, cigarette, match box, chargers, and lighters are not allowed to take to the stadium.
Slogans and chants in favor of players will be allowed, fans can also have selfies with their favorite players. To make the series secure, Punjab Safe City Authority has installed over 1,000 cameras in and around the venue.
Spectators are required to bring their CNIC cards along with them. Almost thirty eight shuttle buses are hired to take fans from parking to the stadium.
