Karachi rains: Cattle prices reduce to 25%

Karachi is witnessing heavy rains from Monday night. The heavy rains and thunderstorm caused destruction in city on large scale including cattle markets. Many of the tents and marquees fell down due to heavy rains. In such circumstances, the cattle prices are collapsed by 15 to 25%.

Buyers are not even willing to pay the reduced prices. Many of the vendors are in fear that their animals may become ill due to recent rain. Karachi received 130 mm rainfall till now. Due to rain, many people lost their lives, trees were uprooted and many vehicles were also damaged.

Asia’s largest cattle market located at Sohrab Goth became the victim of flood. Due to poor drainage system in the city, whole Karachi is drowning. Cattle vendors are considering this Eid as the worst one in their life.
