Pakistani girl selected for Geothe Talents Scholarship
Maham Suhail, a Pakistani musician, music composer and sound artist has been selected for Geothe Talents Scholarship. Maham is one of ten global musicians who are participating in the ‘Pop Kultur Nachwuchs’ program.
The program includes ten day tour to Germany which includes two day music festival take place in Berlin, capital city of Germany. The competition will take place from August 16 to 26. The scholarship is conducted and funded by government of Germany and guided by the Music Board Berlin.
During event, different professionals, producers, decision makers, political leaders and music composers around the globe will be invited. During her stay at Berlin, Maham in cooperation with fellow artists will present her work with the surroundings of Pakistani music.
According to The Nation Music Berlin Board Sent a letter to Maham stating, “We hereby invite you, Maham Suhail, to take a chance of further musical development. We invite 10 talents from around the world to attend the ‘Goethe Talents Scholarship’ and join workshops of ‘Pop Kultur Nachwuchs’. We all pair them with professional musicians, economic and political leaders and decision makers out of the music industry.”
While talking to The Nation, Maham said “It is a great honour for me, my family and the entire nation that I am going to represent my country in a global event, where I will not only try to excel but also present a soft, loving and peaceful image of my country.”
