Eid-ul-Azha expected date announced by Met: Pakistan

According to the predictions of Pakistan Metrological Department, Zil-Hajj moon is expected to be sighted on August 22. Therefore, according to the predictions of Met department, Eid-Ul-Azha is likely to be celebrated in Pakistan on first September.

According to Met office official, due to normal weather condition, visibility of moon will be clear. Ruet-e-Hilal Committee is also directed to conduct a meeting on August 22 to sight Zil-Hajj moon. The meeting will be conducted at PMD Camp office Karachi.

Eid-Ul-Azha is the occasion celebrated by Muslims across the world to remember the sacrifice of Hazrat Ismail (A.S). Additionally it is also an end to the Hajj pilgrimage in Makkah.
