Amla, Clarke might be to visit Pakistan in September
Pakistan Cricket Borad (PCB) chairman, Shahryar Khan unveiled that former test cricket captains, Hasim Amla and Michael Clarke are likely to be the part of World XI team. World XI is to visit Pakistan in September 2017.
However PCB is seeking the authorization from the government of Punjab for the visit of World XI team. During the visit, World XI team is likely to play T20 series with national cricket team of Pakistan.
While talking in a Geo television show, chairman revealed that Andy Flower will be the Captain of World XI team.
Shahryar Khan said that “heard that Hashim Amla, Michael Clarke, along with New Zealander Luke Ronchi and Australian Tim Paine, are going to be part of the team”.
The successful event of final of Pakistan Super League (PSL) led to the visit of World XI team. This tour will encourage other international teams to visit Pakistan.
It was mentioned by Khan that World XI team might visit Pakistan on September 12. He added that team will stay in country for a week. The series will be comprised of three matches.
