PEF is to start 30 mobile and 47 community schools in Cholistan
The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) is to open 30 mobile and 47 formal community schools in Cholistan.
The announcement was made by the MD of Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) Tariq Mehmood in a meeting at his office. The metting was attended by officials of PEF programs.
Mehmood told during meeting that foundation is already helping 10 functional schools in the area. Managing Director PEF said that the purpose of the foundation is to enhance the quality of education in Cholistan.
Mehmood told that for the expansion of schools candidates are welcomed from the areas of Tehsil Liaquat Pur, Khan Pur, Tehsil Fortabaas (Bhawalnagar), and Mandi Yazman (Bahawalpur).
Addressing the meeting MD said that mobile schools will help the children from Cholistan to get free quality education.
He further told that foundation has started the teacher development program in which foundation will train 1488 teachers belongs to the 342 partner schools of 30 districts. The training will induce in the teachers the modern teaching methods. Training will be provided by master trainers from Continuous Professional Development Program (CPDP), he added.
