Pakistan qualifies for Asia’s Robotics competition

Pakistani team has made its way to the Asia’s Robotics competition. The team belongs to the Capital University of Science and Technology (CUST), situated in Islamabad.

Earlier, the competition was held between the local institutes to check which institute is eligible for the competition of Robotics. The competition was organized by Pakistan Television (PTV) and along with CUST, students from other famous institutes like FAST, UET and NUST also participated in the local competition.

A committee was organized and the projects of these universities were viewed by the committee comprised of highly qualified professionals. After the analysis by committee CUST was considered as the eligible institute for the competition.

The competition is named as Robocon and is considered as one of the biggest competition in the Asia. In competition, 22 universities will participate from Asia to represent their skills in robotics. Asian Broadcast Union is organizing the competition.

Competition is going to be held from 27th August at Tokyo. Each year, Robocon sets a new theme for the competition, this year’s theme is “asobi” which means “play.”
