Pakistani player wins under-18 snooker World Championship

Pakistan’s Naeem Akhtar has won the title of under-18 snooker World Championship. Akhtar won the title after defeating Chinese player Peifan Lei 5-3 in the finals.

In the championship event 48 players have participated from 29 different countries around the globe. From Pakistan two participants Naseem Akhtar and Haris Tahir have participated.

Naseem after winning the title became first Pakistani to get under-18 world title in snooker. During final, in earlier frames, Akhtar got defeated in first four frames by Chinese player but in fifth round Pakistani player made come back and won next four frames consecutively.

In the semi-finals, Amir Nardela of Israel was defeated by Naseem Akhtar. In quarter final, Naseem defeated Australian player, Florian Nuble.

Now Haris Tahir And Naseem Akhtar will represent Pakistan in the U21 championship.
