HEC to conduct free university admission tests
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) is going to conduct entrance tests for different disciplines. HEC has decided to launch Education Testing Council (ETC) for conducting tests for different academic programmes.
Many varsities in Pakistan conduct admission tests through National Testing Services (NTS), but now higher Education Commission is all set to conduct the admission tests.
The date of registration was announced by HEC on second July and last date for the submission of applications is July 12. The test will be valid for two years for admissions while tests conducted by NTS were only valid for one year.
According to information 47 varsities are registered by HEC and will conduct their tests through HEC. This HEC will conduct test on the behalf of twenty nine public sector universities and eighteen private sector universities.
The names of the universities conducting their test through HEC are available on the official website of the commission.
It is worth mention here that tests conducted would be free of cost and HEC will bear all the expense of the tests.
In first phase only tests for undergraduate programs will be conducted while later for masters and PhD programmes.
The focus of the commission is to ensure to quality of the tests. However, this is the best opportunity for students to avail free of cost test.
