Pollution sensors will be installed at 300 Wi-Fi hotspots

A MoU was signed on Monday by WWF for Nature-Pakistan and Information Technology University for fostering multi-disciplinary research activities to conserve the nature in Pakistan. MoU signing ceremony was held at Information Technology University Lahore, and many officials attended the event including VC of ITU Dr. Umar Saif and DG Hammad Naqi Khan.

MoU aims to encompass studies to sustainable agriculture and modern fisheries in the habitat of Indus dolphin. Joint fund research is established by both organizations to facilitate studies for 2017 -2020. To eliminate the environmental pollution and to ensure the monitoring f environment different sensors will be deployed and installed at 300 Wi-Fi hotspots to monitor pollution level.
