Research Internship is available for all

FinTech, a leading pioneering research Center at ITU-Punjab has joined hands with the Digital Financial services Research Group, University of Washington provides eight weeks of summer internship opportunity that will start from July 1 2017 until August 25th, 2017. The internship is merely for the enthusiastic individuals who wants to join the collaborative research with the University of Washington in digital financial services in Pakistan.

According to the press release, the internship is exceptionally designed for the students to avail research opportunities in the field of finance. The financial inclusion of Women and FinTech Center Workshops while the work areas varies including Research Design, Qualitative and Quantitative Research and Data Transcription or analysis.

Skills for internship

The core competencies required for an internship is communication skills and good writing along with strong analytical skills accompanied with learning abilities. MoU has been signed between Vice Chancellor f ITU Dr. Umar Said and Dr. Richard Anderson, Department of CS and Engineering, and the University of Washington. The memorandum was signed this year in January to establish a pioneering FIntech Research Center in Pakistan.


Technical Education and Vocational training authority, Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh, has said that the number of student for the on job training will increase from 9000 to 59000 in the last three years

In a meeting on Monday, the vocational training for students was just 9000 in 2014, which increased to 59000 in the recent year. He said Tevta aims to increase the number of on job training to 100,000.
