Sindh: Petroleum Ministry discovered New gas reserves
In Sindh Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) has discovered new gas reserves in Gambat South Block located in Matiari. The PPL has located the hydrocarbons from the well Zafir X-1 situated in Southern Sindh.
According to sources, the well was ground to check the potential of the sand at Lower Goru Formation.
Officials revealed that the flow of gas from Zafir X-1 well was 29.2 MMscfd at 48/64” choke.
PPL data has marked that the company has already explored eight wells at Gambat South Block includes Waqif, Hatim, Kinza, Faiz, Shadad, Sharf, and Kabir.
PPL is the second major gas explorer and operator in the country. It explores the gas and oil reserves in the Pakistan. The company has explored 264 wells of gas and 46 of crude in all over the Pakistan.
