Ali Baba Group, Jack Ma will visit Pakistan this year

The founder and chairman of Alibaba Group, Jack Ma will visit Pakistan this year. He showed his desire in a meeting with the Minister of State for IT and Telecommunication, Anusha Rahman.

The meeting took place on the sideline of UN Conference on Trade and Development during the E-commerce week which discussed the recent development and the improvement in the IT and Telecom departments of the country.

Anusha Rahman also highlighted the needs and improvements during the E-commerce week required in Pakistan and informed the founder of Alibaba Group about the recent projects, which will allow 40 million people to connect through the mobile broadband in last two year.

She briefed about the initiative taken by the country and highlighted ICT for Girls program. Jack Ma praised the developments in the IT and Telecom sector in Pakistan and appreciated the proposal which favorably helps Pakistan to develop. The chairman and founder of China`s biggest e-commerce portal showed his desire to visit Pakistan soon and will also meet the beneficiary girls of ICT for Girls program.

The minister highlighted the ICT infrastructure in Pakistan and the broadband connectivity. Pakistan is developing and establishing various technology projects each month. Anusha Rahman underlined the enormous potential of ICT and e-commerce to eliminate the gender gap and digital technology provides equal opportunities to women and men.
