AIOU to set up Urdu learning centre in China University
Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) is setting up Urdu learning center in collaboration with Yunnan Open University of China (YOUC) at China University. The decision was made during the visit of the delegation of Yunnan Open University of China (YOUC).
The meeting was held between five members of delegation and AIOU team of scholars. The Chinese delegation was led by Vice President Prof Luo JI and AIOU team of scholars was led by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Shahid Siddiqui.
Both countries agreed upon to give an educational response to China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) through bilateral cooperation.
During the meeting, Chinese delegation showed their great interest towards setting up Chinese language and Culture Centre at AIOU. Vice Chancellor of AIOU also offered to build up Urdu Learning Centre at YOUC.
Te proposals are positively responded by both the sides. Additionally, Chinese and Pakistani delegations agreed upon to exchange students and faculty members to get knowledge from each other.
After meeting the Chinese delegation visit various departments of the university. The Chinese delegation got impressed from the infrastructure of the university.
