Every Village in Pakistan will get 3G in the upcoming years
In the upcoming years, every village in Pakistan will be getting 3G facility as claimed by the Minister for Information Technology and Telecom. She addressed at the 3rd Rawalpindi Chambers of Commerce and Industry ICT Award 2017 that Pakistan is at the fourth rank for having the largest number of freelancers and the number of freelancers will continue to grow with the internet usage which will raise from 2% in 2014 to 27% in the three years.
Rehman also acknowledges that the role of extended 3G and 4G service in Pakistan enables the government to train and plan for more than one hundred thousand graduates with freelancing skills. She mentioned that the current Government had paid particular attention to the information and technology sector due to which Pakistan have achieved a great and remarkable success during last three years.
Speaking about the Information Communication Technology awards ceremony, Rehman said that
Pakistan has won the GSMA award and is ranked third in the list of mobile telecom operator groups.
The auction was initiated in 2014 by GSMA of 3G and 4G. A trade body represents the interests of mobile operators worldwide. Pakistan also won GSMA Government Leadership Award 2017 at biggest annual telecom industry at the Mobile World Congress conducted in Barcelona Spain.
Minister of State for IT and Telecom received the award during the Global Mobile Awards. The Minister of State for Information Technology told Pakistan is the first country which will test the 5th Generation cellular services for easy and fast connectivity. She also appreciated RCCI for organizing ICT award. The Chairman of RCCI mentioned about the efforts which contributed and promoted the soft image of the country.
