PPSC Candidates will be interviewed through Skype
Chief Minister Shahbaz Shareef held a meeting to review the performance of Punjab Public Service Commission in which the Chairman PPSC Lt. Gen Sajjad Akram presented the report of the candidates of year 2016.
However, chief minister applauded for the entire team and said that significant steps would undoubtedly strengthen and bring improvement in the commission. Make sure that the department must be equipped with modern technology and follow latest trends. He also directed the whole system to convert and facilitate the candidates with internet facility and do conduct their interviews via Skype or through Video Link.
CM directs to expand the institution in megacities along with regional offices in seven divisions. He also ordered to establish the high-level committees which will not only devise the final plan after reviewing the recommendation but will monitor pre-service training and the improvement of service rules as well as concerned matters.
Check, and balance is mandatory to improve the performance of the institution. The main aim of Punjab Government is to encourage the talented individuals. The PPSC will play an effective role. This is the best way to achieve prosperity with transparency and merit. The government has promoted the culture in province and appointments in all institutions will be made on merit. The commission is directed to increase the number of members and review the acquisition of leading consultant’s service to improve the efficiency. Head office of PPSC will soon be shifted to LDA plaza.
PPSc Chairman Sajjad Akram have presented the report of the commission said that Merit, integrity, and transparency would be distinguishing features of the institute which will surely help to win the confidence of the public. The online system is fruitful and addresses the complaints of candidates. The credit goes to the present government for making the PPSC independent. No case is reported as favoritism which means it is a sign of good governance.
Provincial Ministers Rana Sanaullah, Dr. Ayesha Ghaus Pasha Advisor Dr. Umar Saif the additional Chief Secretary, senior member Board of Revenue, and the concerned secretaries attended the meeting.
