Turkish, Chinese Troops will participate in Pakistan Day Parade
Rawalpindi—Pakistani military media wing have announced that the groups of Turkish and Chinese troops will also participate in the Pakistan Day parade on 23rd March. The Director General Maj Asif Ghafoor of Inter-Services Public Relations said in a tweet that Chinese soldiers would also participate in a parade to make the Pakistan Day celebrations more exciting. The Turkish military band will also play its part in the parade.
The Pakistan Day parade is organized by the joint staff headquarters in Rawalpindi, which is overseeing three armed forces of Pakistan. Contingents of Pakistan Army, air force, and navy have arrived in the Federal Capital Islamabad for the rehearsals of Parade with strict security measures.
The parade is resumed from 2015 after the gap of seven years. Parade depicts the strength of armed forces. It will provide a tribute to shocking attack on the APS in Peshawar in 2014, which left at least 150 people dead including 132 schoolchildren.
Pakistan day parade honored the Lahore Resolution when the Muslims from British Indian Empire demanded a separate nation on 23rd March 1940. It was also a day of declaration of Republic in 1956.
