Sindh Govt to Fill Around 26000 School Teachers Vacancies in Different phases: Secretary School Education Department
In Karachi secretary of provincial school education, Jamal Mustafa told that department of school education has 26 thousand vacant places for teachers post.
While talking to Jung News he told “Every year almost two thousand teachers get retirement and this result in the lack of teachers to educational institutes. So keeping in view we have decided to hire new teachers.”
Secretary school education told that teachers will be hired in different phases. In first round, 6 thousand teachers would be hired and job circulars will be published by next month.
Firstly 6 thousand teachers would be appointed as new JEST (Junior Elementary School Teacher). But these appointments are just for already closed schools of Sindh.
These JEST teachers would be designated at closed schools and for 5 years they have to continue teaching in the same school. Upon request of posting to another area, would lead the requestor to lose his job.
He further cleared that JEST will be hired after going through the proper test and on merit.
Secretary education admitted that educational system in governmental schools at Sindh has broken. For improving the education at Sindh appointment of teachers on merit is really important.
