Hyundai made its way to Pakistan with electric cars
Hyundai Motors have recently planned and signed an agreement with the Nishat Group which is a local textile firm to assemble the small electric vehicles in the country. The Pakistani Company wants that the Koreans must join hands and bring hybrid as well as electric cars in Pakistan.
The car market in Pakistan is dominating, and the main brands are Honda, Toyota, and Suzuki. These companies are Japan-based, and the cars are assembled in partnership with them. However, it is not the first time that Hyundai is providing its services and have entered the country. Hyundai and the Kia motor which is the South Korean company, assemble cars from 2004 and have withdrawn the local partners Dewan Farooque Motors Limited.
Now the company is back with an innovative idea. The South Korean car-making company started the assembly of small cars which will compete with Japanese assemblers. The Chairman Mian Mansha Nishat Group told that assemblers want to operate the market soon, but we are convincing them to introduce hybrid and electric vehicles in Pakistan.
