Google will introduce traditional SMS service again

Texting is a primary concern, so the upgrade is available on Android. Google recently announced that it is introducing the Rich Communications Services for messaging. The service will be accessible to all Android users that will immensely enhance the outdated Short Message Service platform and overcome the difficulty faced by the users.

In a Google blog, it is written that The company is taking a significant step and initiative to improve the messaging service all over the world.

People who are unaware of the service must know that the messaging standard will be taken to next generation. The features let the user to avail read receipts share multimedia messages and variety for other features, which includes iMessage and WhatsApp.

Taking the messaging system to Android will help to increase the functionality of the currently limited SMS protocol. The technology will allow users to access more options for texting including group chats and the ability to receive and send high-resolution photos and the receipt reading.

Google is recently working with the telecom and smartphone companies to make the Android Messenger RCS supported. The technology giants will work in collaboration with the different mobile brands such as Sony, ZTE, HTC, Micromax, Motorola, LG and HMD Global.
