KPK Metro Bus will start in December 2017
The Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is currently running under PTI, and the Government has initiated the project of Peshawar Metro Bus Service in April. It is expected to be completed by December 2017 and will stay on schedule. The Peshawar Development Authority cost for the project will set around Rs 41 billion.
Director General of Peshawar Development Authority Manzoor Wattoo announced in a press conference that project would take around 10 months to complete. Construction of metro is still in process, and the first phase includes the Chamkanu Balahisar track. The Cantt Aman Chowk track is completed in the second phase and will lead towards the Phase III. The Peshawar Metro Bus would be similar to other Metro Bus and will make the Biggest difference. However, there would be no elevated section, but the whole route will be constructed at street level.
Funding of the project would be done by the provincial authorities. Mushtaq Ghani who is the spokesman for KPK Government and the PTI chairman Imran Khan have got the cost of Rs. 14 billion. The analysis was done o project, and it is revealed that the project will cost more than Rs. 40 billion.
However, no foreign donors will provide funding. He construction of Metro Bus will come from KPK government financial resources.
