PSL players have been titled with spot fixing
It’s just three days to PSL, the Pakistan Super League players have been reported on Saturday for corruption charges. However, no official charges have issued by the management of PSL, but according to the sources, the new player is a member of Islamabad United.
The official media partner of Islamabad United team reports that bowler Irfan Khan is a new player and is involved in some conspiracy. Irfan is a member of Pakistan international squad and has appeared in 2013 test match in South Africa Cape Town. He has played 60 one day and 20 T20 matches overall. According to Geo News, at least 10 players are the part of the probe.
The two players Khalid Latif and Sharjeel Khan were sent immediately back last night. They both made a deal of Rs 400000 to 500000 each match, and they met at bookies near the stadium.
The Chairman of PSL Najam Sethi said in his statement that such type of conspiracy would not be tolerated. We want no players to be involved in corrupt activity, and the investigation will undoubtedly proceed. Further action will take place. PSL management is working with the International Cricket Council and PCBs anti-corruption unit to get rid of corruption. It is not appropriate to comment on specific until unless the investigation is completed. Measures must be taken to drive crime out of cricket so that people would love and respect the game as well as players. The Cricket board is completely committed and will not tolerate any type of damage to the sport.
