Chaudhry Nisar issued immediate suspension orders of NADRA Mastercard Agreement
Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, interior minister of Pakistan, has taken notice of the agreement between NADRA and MasterCard. This agreement meant to facilitate the Pakistani nationals to use their National Identity Cards to carry out monetary transactions and obtain government payouts.
Chaudhry Nisar Ali said that this agreement was made without any written approval by the government and without any discussion with the shareholders, the sensitive security measures were set aside either while validating the agreement.
He inquired the NADRA that to what degree the foreign company has been given the access to the NADRA database.
He more said that there will be no concession on the safety of national database and no company will be permitted to go beyond its limits.
Aurangzeb Khan, MasterCard manager for Pakistan and Afghanistan, had said that the partnership between MasterCard and NADRA Technologies Limited was an evidence to their pledge headed for creating a confident network for online outgoings in Pakistan.
