After a long wait the Tree man got hands
Abul Bajandar of Bangladesh underwent from epidermodysplasia verruciformis, an unusual disease that have be found in very few humans in the world.
Epidermodysplasia verruciformis is caused by the defect in immune system.
Abul Bajar was 10 years old when he first noticed lacerations in his hands which soon covered his hands completely. His hands looked like lumps on tree.
Due to this disease Bajar couldn’t do any work with his own hands. He could not eat, hold or brush etcetera. The disease made him helpless. His only source of income, driving rickshaw, was also snatched by this disease as he was unable to continue driving.
But now, when he is 27, he can live his life like a normal person. After few surgeries, he has got his hands back.
He has gone through 16 processes to get his hands back.
A chief plastic surgeon at Medical College Hospital Dhaka, Dr. Samanta Lal Sen, told that Abul Bajar is recovering and is in good condition, he can write and drink with his own hands. After few more processes he will recover more, according to the sources.
Abul Bajar hasn’t been unconfined from the hospital yet, he will go through a few more surgeries to assure the complete recovery of his hands.
