Meet the top-ranked flyweight boxer: Muhammad Waseem

Muhammad Waseem is a professional boxer who has won two-time silver flyweight championship. He recently got the title of top ranked flyweight boxer, by winning in his category by revealing that he is great. World Boxing Council gives the title. He mentions that

It is a great honor for me to achieve such a top rank. This claims enables me to get motivation and envelopes me with energy and more power to propel in my passion for boxing.

Background of Waseem

Waseem is from Quetta who is new to international boxing circle. He got fame after his first achievement of the silver belt by beating Jether Olivia from Phillippines in Seoul last July. He is lucky enough to achieve silver belt in his fourth fight. While in November, he defended his crown after the tough 12 round bout in South Korea with Giemel Magramo.

Before his international fights, Waseem had been fighting as an amateur boxer for more than a decade, but he turned professional in 2015 and signed a contract with Korean company AK Promotions headed by Andy Kim.

Future plans

He succeeded to achieve the title with little supervision and got training with limited facilities. Sponsorship issues became as a hurdle for him, which kept him away from boxing arena. It is announced that young boxer started his training before fight.

Manager Andy Kim said that he is waiting for WBC`s instructions for the future fight. It will be a fantastic title eliminator, and there will be some changes in the match. However, it might be possible that Waseem will be challenged for the world title.

Waseem next fight will be around September or October, and his training will be in Quetta. He plans to move to Panama later to tune up his next fights with the local boxer on July 5th and July 29th.

Jeff Mayweather will coach Waseem during his stay in Panama and Waseem is hopeful to achieve the right training so that he could beat anyone.
