Ropeway Transit system will soon be introduced in Lahore
Want to travel in a new ride? Then CM Punjab Shahbaz Shareef will soon introduce the plan for Chairlift in Lahore. He announced that the city would get a new ropeway transport system, which owns many possible benefits.
The project is in its planning stage, but CM Shahbaz Sharif said that it is a viable system, which will be introduced at three main routes in Lahore. Following are the routes, which are considered for the chairlift system.
- Jalo Mor to Thokar Niaz Baig
- Jehangir Tomb to Greater Iqbal Park
- Imamia Colony to Railway station
Major ropeway system
It is not just Lahore that will be getting ropeway system, but Islamabad is also considered. If the project gets successful, then you will be able to travel from Islamabad to Murree in Chairlift. The plan is merely based so that people can enjoy the landscape from all above.
The plan was proposed in a meeting in which CM Punjab, provincial Minister Mujtaba Shuja Ur Rehman, Chaudhary Sher Ali, environment, secretaries transport, MD Punjab mass transit authority, Commissioner Lahore Division Abdullah Sumbal were at the meeting.
Shahbaz Shareef mentioned that ropeway transit system would be finalized with the international company, which ensures the safety and the best system in Punjab.
Metro Bus Feeder System
Metro Bus Feeder System is launched in Lahore for the convenience of people. Total 200 buses operate under Metro bus feeder system providing comfortable and great facilities as a metro bus. If any passenger travels through feeder bus, then you have to pay Rs 15 for the trip, and if any passenger is transferring from Metro bus to feeder bus, then additional 5 Rs will be charged on the Rs 15 fare.
