Uber Expands its services to Faisalabad with unique features
Uber, the well-known ride-hailing service has recently launched its service in Faisalabad. The company has expanded its services to Gujranwala and Hyderabad. Uber is currently operating in more than 7 different locations in Pakistan and has become the biggest competitor to Careem.
Uber promised to invest $500 million by 2020. The announcement was made when the head of Europe, Middle East, and African division Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty met with Dr. Miftah Ismail, the Chairman of Federal Board of Investment and discussed the expansion of the company in Pakistan.
Pierre-Dimitri Gore-Coty said
“the team of Uber will continue to work with the Pakistani Government as far as it is benefitting the citizens with the safe, affordable and reliable transportation. Uber commits to provide various working opportunities and assists the economic empowerment of the people of Pakistan.”
When the expansion of Uber service was announced in Pakistan, Dr. Miftah Ismail said
Pakistan owns a strong economy and has a growing middle class, which can avail tremendous benefit of the innovative technology. From 2016 March, Uber is operating in Pakistan and providing reliable transportation while creating economic opportunities for Pakistanis.
Uber is now operating in 450+ cities all over the world and hopes that the expansion in Faisalabad goes well. However, the users will now enjoy the more safe experience by booking ride, which enables them to see the license plate, driver’s photo, type of car and the exact location on the map.
