Government sets up WiFi hotspots for free in Punjab
Punjab Government will provide WiFi hotspots from Tuesday in the major three cities of Punjab province, which includes Multan, Rawalpindi, and Lahore. These hotspots will be accessible free in all over Punjab. The plan was proposed by Punjab Information Technology Board to establish more than 200 location all over Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. The news was tweeted by Umar Saif who is the Chairman of PITB.
In particular locations, free WiFi hotspots are already set up which are universities, government offices, hospitals, and airports.
The main aim behind the installation of free WiFI is to encourage the technology use especially among the masses which assists in the linking the people with rest of world through the digital services. The revolutionary step is undoubtedly great and connects the people with rest of the world.
