Self-Employment Scheme will soon start in AJK
A new broad-based self-employment scheme will be soon introduced in AJK (Azad Jammu and Kashmir). The system aims to overcome the unemployment rate that is increasing among the gender and youth. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the minimum age for a voter is 18 years that is reduced from 21 years. This ensures the participation of the maximum people in politics and denotes their vibrant role in future with local bodies and in general election in the state.
However, it was disclosed that on Thursday, AJK Minister for Sports, Youth, and Culture; Chaudhary Muhammad Saeed spoke to the chief guest and build youth dialogue, which is hosted by Kashmir NGO, which is Center for Peace Development and Reforms with coordination of British Council at the local hotel on Thursday.
The Researcher and Consultant of British Council Salman Hyder Zaidi, Program Officer CPDR Jalaluddin Mughal, President AJK Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sohaib Saeed Ch, Dr. Usman Ghani, Director CPDR AH Rao and other young leaders Dr Usman Ghani, Raja Saqib Javed and the students of Mirpur University of Science and Technology, and many other eminent icons attended the event. The conference idea was to share the ideas.
Implementation of Youth policy by the government in Azad Jammu and Kashmir prevailed issue of unemployment among youth including the highly educated jobless young generation in AJK. The minister said that Government was trying her level best to implement and draw the prosperous model of State through bringing the revolutionary reforms in all spheres of life including the public sector institutions to ensure the vibrant role for the uplift of liberated territory.
