7 Startups selected for LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship next batch

LUMS Center have introduced a program for Entrepreneurships in which 7 startups  have been selected in the 7th batch. LUMS got many applications from the candidates who wants to apply this season for best and exceptional Foundation program held at LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship. This is the university flagship experiential development platform for young businesses. After the process of scoring and soliciting applications, interviews were conducted, and discussions were made between the Foundation Council members which is an independent panel of elite business leaders. LUMS Center for Entrepreneurship has inducted the 7th batch for four-month Foundation program.

Following are the startups to the seventh batch

  • SPRY is a social network that allows users to find professionals around them according to their profession and skills set.
  • PAYCARD is an exceptional and new innovative cashless system. It is the contactless mechanism for payment, which operates with NFC card. The team also won the Lahore Startup Weekend Challenge.
  • STAFFLEX is an applicant or recruitment tracking system for which recruitment agencies in the Gulf countries and overseas employment agents in Pakistan.
  • IOTECH is a centralized control automation system, which creates communication between the aspects of a house and a firm.
  • FILTER STRAW also aims to provide pure and clean water anytime with the innovative system.
  • TECHMITE is also a solution of cleaning system but will be fulfilled by using robots.
  • AEROFLY UAS helps to complete unmanned aerial systems for agricultural surveillance and survey.

The signing ceremony also take place among the teams of the selected startups through Entrepreneurship development Program. The contract has been signed with DR. Sohail Naqvi the Vic Chancellor of LUMS in a private gathering.

The Pro-Chancellor of LUMS, Syed Babar Ali attended the ceremony and was stressed by looking the honesty, dedication, hard work, and integrity of the people. LUMS is the fundamental foundation, which supports the sustainable and successful business.

Syed Babar Ali wished GOOD LUCK to the entrepreneurs along with the team and at the end added wisdom words for their success. He addressed the young entrepreneurs at the induction ceremony.

“We are proud to support the entrepreneurs from all over Lahore and other Universities and cities including Islamabad, Rahim Yar Khan, Sargodha, and Sialkot. I encourage the young and dedicated entrepreneurs to do hard work and stay committed to your dreams. Success will surely follow them.”

During the orientation, Khurram Zafar who is the Executive Director at LCE shared that

“This cycle has put focus in the product based startups which is a great and encouraging sign. It is very heartfelt to see the amazing entrepreneurial spirit among brilliant entrepreneurs. Their ideas are innovative which they presented during the meetings. I encourage startups who were not offered a reliable place in the program to continue working on their innovative business ideas. So they must not give up on their hard work.”
