Intel to shut down its business in Pakistan
The largest processor maker of the world, Intel Corporation has shut down its offices in Pakistan as per its global business strategy.
The global strategy is to streamline the operations of the company on the bigger markets, only. Head office of Intel in Karachi has also been shut down along with its other representative offices in different cities of the country.
After two decades of operation, Intel has decided to cut off its business from smaller markets like Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh.
The focus of the company is on cloud computing instead of hardware architecture. After shutting down from Pakistan, new business areas in Asia for the tech are Malaysia and Singapore.
According to reports, in spite of shut down the operations of the company will be maintained in Pakistan through business channels and are being run from an office in Malaysia.
However, the company will continue working on different projects related to Intel International Science and Emerging Fair in Pakistan.
