More than 1000 degrees were awarded at SSUET convocation

Karachi— More than 1000 graduates in Bachelors and Masters Programs have been grant degrees at the 20th Convocation of Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. The convocation was held on Sunday in which position holders were awarded bronze, silver and gold medals for securing highest marks in the disciplines. The ceremony graced with the presence of scholars, dignitaries, and educationists including the university students and members.

The famous Scientists Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan who is the nuclear expert was present as Chief Guest. He appreciated the efforts of the students and University in producing many engineers.

While addressing the graduates, he said that they own many facilities and innovative abilities. The equipment helps them to face the challenges so they must contribute their skills towards the success of Pakistan and make it more advanced. Students must not limit their abilities, and they have to study beyond Bachelors level and go forth for Masters and PhDs to meet the challenges.

He also mentioned that a time when India got the nuclear technology, its sole objective was to establish its hegemony. However, Abdul Qadeer proposed a plan to make Pakistan a nuclear power, which was approved, and within 6 years; he was able to achieve his target and made Pakistan a nuclear power.

Students must not worry about the political scenario but need to devote themselves to the interests and cause of the country. Pakistan is our country, and we have to work for the glory of the motherland. The SSUET Chancellor Jawaid Anwar states that today’s era is based on knowledge. The small countries like Korea and Singapore have also excelled to be stated as the developed countries. Access to the modern technological education will surely help in the social development or evolution of human civilization.

SSUET is a prominent University and holds a place in the academic sector because of high-quality education. The graduates are fully prepared and equipped with knowledge to face the challenges in the future.
