CM Sindh to launch Solar Village electrification project

In collaboration with China CM Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has decided to launch Solar Village electrification project in Sindh. The project is set to launch in far-flung areas of the province.

In this regard, CM Sindh had meeting at CM house Karachi with Chinese Consul General Mr. Wang Yu. Sindh government is to launch ADP scheme of Rs 2 billion for the project.

Chinese consul in the meeting assured the provision of financial support for the project. He told that Chinese government has already allocated $80,000 for solar panels for rural areas of province.

Chief Minister of Sindh told about his policy that solar panels will be provided to under privileged areas which have no access to national grid.

Every house from under privileged areas will be provided with solar energy. He mentioned that areas of Kachho, Kohistan and some others will be served as they have no access to electricity. The project will aid in bringing change in the lives of people there.

CM told that in summers the weather of different areas of Sindh becomes very hot with scorching sun.

Meeting has attended by many officials including Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon, Principal Secretary Naveed Kamran Baloch and ACS (Dev) Mohammad Waseem.
