Pakistan will host Regional 13th ECO summit
Pakistan will host the 13th Economic Cooperation Organization Summit will held in Islamabad on Wednesday.
Adviser of Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz told while briefing the media persons in Islamabad that many of the states members have confirmed their participation in the event.
The summit will be held in the purpose of enlargement of cooperation in areas of connectivity, tourism, trade, energy, investment, economic growth, social welfare and environment, Sartaj Aziz told.
Initiatives will be taken in the ECO to improve education, scientific linkages, cultural and people-to-people contacts.
“The theme behind the Summit is ‘Connectivity for Regional Prosperity’ and for theme best example is China Pakistan Economic Corridor. Therefore it will aid in existing energy corridors for greater progress and prosperity of people” said by adviser of PM.
He said, Pakistan will continue to participate in South Asian Association for Regional cooperation.
